Ep 0: My Wake-Up Call

I was in church before I was born.

Highlights:

Jesus in heart: Age 4

Kicked out of Baptist church: Age 8

Into Charismatic church

Barn Bible study: Age 13

Dad became pastor: Age 17

Married: Age 19

Commitment to serve: Age 25?

Skip ahead – We were in several churches and Bible study groups where Holy Spirit was allowed to work.

Healing, prophetic words, demonstrations of power.

Holy Spirit doesn’t worry about nice and tidy. Let him loose and you never know what might happen. “Signs that make you wonder.”

From my family – I want everything God has for me.

My awakening started in Karate class.

Video of fighting style that hit acupuncture points.

Touched forehead & they passed out.

My Xan worldview: “spiritual effects” – Only God or the devil.

This was something different.

I began searching to understand.

Question everything: Anchor – God created EVERYTHING

All power comes from him.

For reasons only God knows, the devil and humans have access to spiritual power. (perhaps limited)

A person who is not a follower of Jesus might use energy to heal someone & the power isn’t necessarily of the devil.

A person can use visualization and mantras to manifest blessings in their life & not be partnering with the occult.

I began to see that a lot of people in the church were ignoring the power of the Holy Spirit that was available.

And meanwhile, there were people outside the church getting results that were positive.

That was the start of God leading me through years of working on my soul to deliver me from religion.

I finally came to the place where God showed me that my “work” is to let him love me.

This was my first wake-up call. I saw how religious I had been. I’d been trying to “live like a Christian” to earn God’s favor.

My next wake-up call came at the end of the “Ten days to flatten the curve.”

The lockdowns convinced me that someone was lying.

And after you see the first lie, you begin to see all the others.

God raised up prophets. And there was the expected backlash.

But I started leaning on the Holy Spirit – promise to lead me into truth.

And I started looking to the future.

This conspiracy is going to fail.

Ps. 2: Kings of the earth set themselves against God . . . and he laughs!

Prophets are talking about a new age.

One billion souls coming into the kingdom of heaven.

Knowledge of the glory of God will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. Hab. 2:14
