Ep. 0.5: My Approach to the Bible

Bible is the written word of God. But God’s word is more than what’s in the Bible. God’s word existed before anything else. God spoke: Light – be! Come into existence. Jn 1 – In the beginning was the Word.
I believe the Bible is true. I also believe that all truth belongs to God. But the Bible does not cover all the truth that exists. The Bible is the truth God has revealed to us.

3. Not all truth in the Bible has equal weight. It is full of “divine paradoxes.”

[Mat 12:30 NASB] 30) “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.”

[Mar 9:40 NASB] 40) “For he who is not against us is for us.”

[Pro 26:4 NKJV] 4) Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him.

[Pro 26:5 NKJV] 5) Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes.

4. God did this on purpose so we wouldn’t turn the Bible into a formula for how to be a Xan.

The Bible is written for people who are in a RELATIONSHIP

It is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

NOT: Father, Son, and Holy Bible.

5. God is consistent

“I, the LORD, do not change.”

Prophecy that contradicts scripture should be rejected.

Eg. “Now we worship graven images.”

But prophecy isn’t false just because you can’t find an example in scripture.

Following Jesus – Holy Spirit is inside you and will guide you into ALL TRUTH.
