39 So then, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in other tongues.
Speaking in tongues is one gift of HS that is hard for people to accept.
I want the HS, but I don’t want to do THAT!
Some churches: “Baptism of HS w/ evidence of speaking in tongues.”
Maybe . . . maybe not.
The effect: 1) Fear & rejection 2) Stuck – stunted growth
Tongues is useful. Prophecy is greater.
And that is only the starting point, not the destination
Truth: Followers of Jesus should display supernatural abilities thru the Holy Spirit.
Action: As for baptism of HS (Ep 13) and let the HS transform you and guide you to walk in his power
