Following Jesus isn’t about just getting into heaven.
That’s a good final destination.
But God has something else in mind for his people.
You are one of his people.
This statement is also in Exodus.
God made a covenant – keep my law & you’ll be a kingdom of priests—my holy nation.
Jesus gave a new covenant.
Same intent — “royal priesthood & holy nation”
Catholic — created priests . . . between people and God.
Truth: You’re all priests!
Role of a priest >>> conduit between the spiritual world and this world.
Holy — set apart for God. We are his family.
Action: Pull the reality of kingdom of heaven into this world.
Holy Spirit is on you. Use the authority and power of the Holy Spirit to bring light into the darkness of this world.
